Leslie Valley

This Neighbourhood is located on the north east side of the Town of Newmarket in York Region, which sits directly north of the city of Toronto on top of the oak Ridges Moraine. For this reason much of Newmarket is rolling, with picturesque views and lots of wonderful ravine or walk out lots. Leslie Valley was originally farm land so is gentley rolling and the developers took advantage of the terrain by utilizing lots of cul-de-sacs and cresents in their subdivision plan.
Leslie Valley is just to the west of  Leslie St and just 2-3 minutes to 404 Hwy. and about 40 minutes to Toronto on the south and 30 minutes to Lake Simcoe recreational area on the north.
The direct north perimeter of this neighbourhood is ravine are that runs the entire width of this neighbourhood. giving wonderful hiking, cross country skiing or dog walking access to the residents.

Schools for Leslie Valley are within walking distance and are highly ranked.

Shopping and restaurants are located very close by on Leslie St., with a Walmart, Metro, Swiss Chalet, harveys, Shoppers drug mart, gas, banks and various shops and restaurants. Just minutes away along Green Lane there is a big box centre with Lowes, superstore, Costco, Cineplex theatre complex, Best Buy , Micheals, Bed Bath & Beyond, Kelseys,  Keg and onward towards Upper Canada Mall there is canada Tire, Home Depot, Target and more shops and restaurants.
On the west side of this neighbourhood is George Richardson park which runs parallel to the river bank with extensive walking/biking trails, including Tom Taylor Trail access.
This park is often home to town fireworks displays on our Civic holidays.
Here you'll find residents enjoying ball games on the several ball diamonds, soccer on the fields, kids playing on the playground equipment, little boys getting their feet wet in the ponds, geese foraging for seeds  and families walking, running and staying healthy.

The homes of Leslie Valley were built around 1985 and are all detached and range from 1400 sq ft up to over 3500 sq ft. so there is something for everyone's budget.
Most of the homes have double garages and the majority ofthe models are 2 stories, catering to the needs of young or growing families.
The lots in this neighbourhood can boast sizes that are larger than average, with many pie shaped lots due to the curves and cresents. The neighbourhood has mature trees as might be expected with an area in this age group. Pride of ownership is evident throughout the neighbourhood and residents have kept up with the times and many homes are significantly updated.  
Local busing runs throughout this neighbourhood and quickly connects you to other areas of Newmarket and surrounding York Region with the Go Station for trains and busses located just around the corner off Green Lane.
