This Neighbourhood is located on the north east side of the Town of Newmarket in York Region, which sits directly north of the city of Toronto on top of the oak Ridges Moraine. For this reason much of Newmarket is rolling, with picturesque views and lots of wonderful ravine or walk out lots. Leslie Valley was originally farm land so is gentley rolling and the developers took advantage of the terrain by utilizing lots of cul-de-sacs and cresents in their subdivision plan. Just minutes away along Green Lane there is a big box centre with Lowes, superstore, Costco, Cineplex theatre complex, Best Buy , Micheals, Bed Bath & Beyond, Kelseys, Keg and onward towards Upper Canada Mall there is canada Tire, Home Depot, Target and more shops and restaurants. On the west side of this neighbourhood is George Richardson park which runs parallel to the river bank with extensive walking/biking trails, including Tom Taylor Trail access. This park is often home to town fireworks displays on our Civic holidays. Here you'll find residents enjoying ball games on the several ball diamonds, soccer on the fields, kids playing on the playground equipment, little boys getting their feet wet in the ponds, geese foraging for seeds and families walking, running and staying healthy.
