Woodland Hills in located in the most north west section of the Town of Newmarket, York Region, Ontario. This neighbourhood was established about 2003/2004 and it is made up of a divers mix of homes, from large detached to semis, and townhomes. The area is very family oriented with both schools and parks within the neighbourhood. There is a diverse mix of both ages and backgrounds.
The homes here were built by Greenpark, Summit View, Primont and Marydel with many open concept models, of brick with stone fronts.
This neighbourhood has fabulous access to the shopping areas of Yonge/Greenlane. Walk to : Costco, Superstore, Lowes, Best Buy, Mastermind, Walmart, Home sense, Future Shop, winners, Storage Solutions, Brick, Home Depot, Staples, marks Work warehouse, Canadain Tire and all the shops in Upper Canada Mall.
The places to eat out are also abundant including The Keg, Boston Pizza, Kelseys, Casey's, Jack Astors and all the fast food places from Harveys to McDonalds.
Schools for the Junior population of Woodland-Hills
This Neighbourhood has a large wooded ravine to the west and numerous parks and parkettes throughout the neighbourhood. There is a public elementary school Poplar Banks Elementary that is a french immersion school, located within the centre of the neighbourhood and a site is in the planning for a new Catholic elementary as well.
